Medical knowledge is advancing at a very fast pace but it is also getting old and outdated at the same speed. In the midst of double blind randomized studies and other sophisticated statistical tools for evaluation of new medicaments and technologies there is little space left for sharing experience we are getting from everyday practice with patients. Experienced physicians say: "Medical textbooks describe the illnesses and disorders of our patients, but our patients do not always follow the descriptions in the textbooks".

The Case Reports Conference in Ophthalmology, Prague 2012, is a part of an international case reports conference network that would like to give practitioners an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience from their daily contacts with patients.

A panel of internationally recognized experts will provide keynote lectures and present their own cases loaded with many teaching points and pieces of practical advice . Ample time will be dedicated to participants´ presentations, commentaries and discussions.

The scientific program of this year's conference includes 5 sessions based on specific topics. We will drive your attention to:

Electrophysiologic examination – value for clinical diagnosis
Uveitis for practitioners
Anterior segment infections – diagnosis and treatment.
